“I installed a Thermal Catalyst Cracker on my '05 town & country mini van before installation I got 24 mpg after install I got 31.8 hiway mileage. Also on my '99 caravan I got 20.5mpg after install I got 25.7 mpg.” William K, Ohio

“I have been a heavy equipment mechanic for 25 years and am the owner operator of Heavy Equipment Repair Services LLC. I also have been racing motorcycles professionally for 18 years. I can certify that my 1999 31’ Ford Diesel Motor home received a drastic increase in power, performance, and an unprecedented 25% increase in fuel economy. The impressive aspect of these gains was with the vehicle fully loaded and towing an 18’trailer loaded with equipment and 2 motorcycles.

My racing motorcycle picked up at least 10 HP by the seat of the pants feel which I will be quantifying within the coming weeks on a certified dynamometer. I have never experienced outstanding performance and fuel efficiency before from a bolt on product. My friends in the racing circuit are now interested in having a custom Cal Cat made for their motorcycles in addition to purchasing them for their tow vehicles based on my results. I am looking forward to installing the industrial version on the heavy equipment I repair, recondition, and sell to add value to my business.” Robert K, New Jersey

1) What is the Thermal Catalyst Cracker?

A Thermal Catalyst Cracker is a coolant to fuel heat exchanger that uses wasted or unused heat from the engines coolant to heat the fuel and the Catalyst inside the catalyst chamber. By heating the fuel we are able to speed up its ability to vaporize inside the engines intake manifold and inside the cylinder. By heating the catalyst inside the Thermal Catalyst Cracker, The catalyst reacts with the fuel molecules and helps them to break down large Hydrogen/Carbon chains to make them so that they too will be able to be used earlier in the combustion process. Normally these Hydrogen /Carbon chains do not vaporize until very late in the combustion process if they vaporize at all while in the combustion chamber.

The Thermal Catalyst Cracker does not make any fuel, or perform any other tricks it just helps the fuel you are buying and putting into your engine do the work it is to supposed to. It allows more of the fuel going into the engine to vaporize earlier, which in turn enables more of the fuel to produce power not wasted as heat in the exhaust or as pollutants in the air.

2) Was the Thermal Catalyst Cracker designed as a Fuel Economy Product?

No It was designed to increase engine performance by enhancing combustion, as a positive side effect the Thermal Catalyst Cracker was found to drastically reduce emissions and in most cases increase fuel efficiency.

3) Is the Thermal Catalyst Cracker going to give you better fuel mileage?

In most cases possibly, but fuel mileage depends more on the driver and the condition of the vehicle, in addition to how efficient the vehicle is from the factory.

4) What is the difference between a Diesel and a Gasoline Thermal Catalyst Cracker?

Even though the chambers are the same design the proprietary catalyst blend is completely different. Diesel fuel because it is a heavier and denser fuel requires additional and more expensive catalyst to get the desired performance.

5) Will it give you better throttle response and the feel of power?

Yes it will allow for more of the fuel to be used during the first part of the power stroke and allow more of the fuel to be used before it enters the exhaust system.

6) Why has no one done this before?

They have. Catalyst were used for power and fuel economy in the 1930’s and 1940’s but once lead was added to the fuel it coated the catalyst and made them useless.

7) Is my Thermal Catalyst Cracker going to cause vapor lock?

No. That is why it is only to be used on fuel injected engines with 15psi fuel pressure or higher. The fuel pressure raises the boiling point of the fuel and keeps it from vaporizing until it sprays out the injector when we want as much vapor as possible.

8) Will a Thermal Catalyst Cracker fix my worn out engine?

No. but it will in most cases help it regain some of its power and help reduce its emissions just by the way it works. But it will not fix what is already worn out or broken.

Return to the FAQ's list

9) Will my Thermal Catalyst Cracker wear out?

Theoretically no but the catalyst can become less effective over time due to coating of the catalyst from contaminated or leaded fuel.

Return to the FAQ's list

10) Is the Thermal Catalyst Cracker a Filter?

No but it will act as a filter catching dirt and deposits.

Return to the FAQ's list

11) Is there a money back guarantee?

Yes. There is a 30 day unconditional money back guarantee on the Thermal Catalyst Cracker itself if you are not satisfied with the performance of the Thermal Catalyst Cracker.

Return to the FAQ's list

12) Is there a manufacture's warrantee?

Yes. There is a one year warranty for manufacturer defects. This does not include failure for improper installation.

Return to the FAQ's list

13) Why is the Thermal Catalyst Cracker grounded?

The reaction with the added heat and the catalysts in the fuel chamber produces a static charge which must be dissipated.
