Question: What kinds of surfaces can Miracle Shield be used on?
Answer: Wood, Concrete, Plastic, Vinyl, Rubber, Roofing materials … just about anything.
Question: What does Miracle Shield do?
Answer: ForMiracle Shield a clear, flexible barrier film. Never slippery or oily. Easy application - just apply & let dry. Will not crack or peel. Protects against Ultra-Violet damage with no silicones or waxes. Works on most non-cloth surfaces. Treated surface cleans up with soap and water.
Question: What color is it?
Answer: Miracle Shield goes on as a slightly milky, translucent liquid. It dries clear. Tinting has not been tested. Try a small sample first.
Question: What kind of coverage can I expect?
Answer: You can figure that the average spread rate is 300 to 500 sq ft / gal and highly dependent upon the porosity of the surface. Concrete pool deck about 300, Cedar yard fencing 400, Stucco wall 250, Old asbestos shingles 300, Wood patio deck 500, Public restroom dividers 600+ when diluted.
Question: How should it be applied?
Answer: It can be rolled, brushed or sprayed. In vertical applications, it can even be wiped on with a damp cloth.
Question: What is the lifetime of the coating?
Answer: High traffic areas should have 2 or more coats applied and life will vary from 2 to 5 years. Vertical applications will last for the lifetime of the surface. A typical roofing application will extend the life of the roof another 10 years.
Question: Is the surface slippery?
Answer: NO. Miracle Shield will have a slight elastic “give” to its surface, which should give a superior non-slip characteristic.
Question: Will it resist graffiti?
Answer: YES! Surface will clean up with just soap and water. Many users find that diluting 1:1 in a spray bottle gives the desired result.
Question: Can I spray Miracle Shield over Therma Guard insulating paint?
Answer: YES! These products work exceptionally well together. Ideal applications include a roof or external walls where you can mate the radiant reflection and insulating properties of Therma-Guard with the sealing elastic properties of the Miracle Shield.
Question: Can I mix Therma-Guard Cells with Miracle Shield and get protection and insulation simultaneously?
Answer: YES! Therma-Guard Cell packets (packaged dry ceramic spheres) are a new product in the Therma Guard line. Industrial users mix these products with great results and gain the benefits of both products with one application. This is very popular in roof repair applications.
Question: Does Miracle Shield contain harmful chemicals?
Answer: NO. Miracle Shield is free of all Volatile chemicals and toxins and is recognized as safe, under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. Non-toxic, odor free and environmentally friendly.
Question: Can Miracle Shield be diluted?
Answer: YES. It just forMiracle Shield a thinner protective coating
Question: Is there a craft application for Miracle Shield?
Answer: YES! Absolutely! Paintings, ceramics, wood working projects, jewelry ect. Anything where water proofing, UV and mildew protection would be a benefit. Try it a test surface first to insure a desired result.
